Value Betting vs Regular Betting
Regular bettors pick based on who they think will win. Value bettors pick based on whether the price is right. A team can be very likely to win and still not represent value if the bookmaker has priced them too short. Conversely, an underdog can be a value bet if the bookmaker has overestimated their opponent.
This mental shift is what separates long-term winners from the majority who slowly drain their bankrolls backing favourites at poor prices.
